About The Position
Travelier, formerly known as Bookaway Group, is a travel-tech company, revolutionizing ground and sea transportation for travelers. Travelier’s network of digital platforms allow customers to instantly buy intercity tickets to ferries, buses and trains in local markets which can be usually complex, enabling stress-free travel across the globe.
What will you be doing?
- Handling legal aspects of commercial transactions, including licensing, distribution, cooperation, affiliation, and others (drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements).
- Overseeing corporate compliance in multiple jurisdictions in the Travelier group, and supporting day-to-day corporate governance and company secretarial matters.
- Interact and work with the group's departments (sales, purchasing, Human Resources, R&D, operations and finance) on diverse legal issues in different jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with, advise, and support cross-functional internal and external teams on a wide variety of legal matters relating to the company’s day-to-day operations, including compliance and corporate governance in multiple jurisdictions.
- Advising on day-to-day employment matters (employment agreements/social benefits) in various jurisdictions.
- Partnering with various corporate teams, including supply, global finance, tax, M&A, operations, support, and business functions to implement various international corporate subsidiary projects.
- Engaging with external legal counsels.
Requirements
- Law degree (LLB) and bar membership.
- Minimum 6 years of work experience as a commercial/corporate lawyer in a law firm and as an in-house counsel in a company legal department, in Globall company.
- English: Mother tongue/full Professional Proficiency.
Advantages:
- Proficiency in additional language(s) (e.g. Spanish), an advantage.
- Overall broad legal knowledge (corporate law, contracts, employment law).
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects.
